Abstract
Forty nine pregnant patients with arterial hypertension and a control group of 20 healthy pregnant women were evaluated. The course of pregnancy, treatment administered, mode of delivery, fetal weight and trophic status as well as neonatal Apgar score were assessed. The effect of antihypertensive treatment on the course of pregnancy was evaluated by determination of values of vascular blood flow in the umbilical artery, aorta and middle cerebral artery. The results were analysed statistically.
