Abstract
The aim of this work was to investigate and describe the blood supply to the lungs, in particular the number, size and variability of the branches of pulmonary arteries. We investigated the branches of 100 lungs, of both men and women, aged 27-88. Pulmonary vessels were examined with the use of: traditional preparation, corrosive method, isolated pulmonary vessels angiography. Research findings indicate that there is a considerable variability in the number, size and mutual configuration of the branches of the pulmonary arteries.
Keywords: pulmonary arteries, branches of the pulmonary arteries
